Grid Value Portrait

GRID VALUE PORTRAIT

*metaphor

I was learning about values in art.
Value means how light or dark something is.
We looked at art by Chuck Close.
His art was a bitmap.*

The first thing we had to do was taking a line for a walk.
We had to fill the spaces with light and dark patterns.
When the lines are close together they become darker.
But on the other hand, when the lines are farther apart they become lighter.
The hardest part about doing this art was the complicated bits because I wanted to draw patterns that didn't match the value.
But I couldn't finish my grid portrait.
